How do I get a transcript and a summary of a recorded video?
Tella transcribes every recording and upload automatically, and the transcript appears in the editor's Script panel. Ask the Tella Agent for a summary, notes or action items: it writes them from the transcript and shares a file, such as Markdown, PDF or TXT, in the chat. To download the transcript itself, click Download and choose Transcript (.txt).
How to do it
- Record or upload your video. Tella transcribes it automatically.
- Open it in the Tella editor and open the Tella Agent chat.
- Ask for the summary you need: who it's for, how long, what to include.
- Click the file card to open or download it.
Good to know
- Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
- The transcript leaves out anything you've cut from the video.
- Names or product terms spelled wrong? Add them to your transcription dictionary under Settings → Language, then retranscribe the video.
- Anyone watching your shared video can generate their own summary from its Ask tab while document generation is on.
