Teach the Tella Agent your editing style

Remember these preferences for all my videos: text in my brand color #2F6B4F, jump cuts instead of transitions, and subtitles turned on. Then apply them to this video.
  • Workspace house style

Remember this for our whole workspace: Quillmark videos use a split layout during product demos, full camera for the intro and outro, and never any background music.

  • Style as a skill

Save what you just did on this Harborlight onboarding video as a workspace skill called harborlight-style: cut filler words and pauses longer than a second, captions in our brand color, and a split layout for the demo. Leave out anything specific to this video.

Can an AI video editor learn my editing style?

Yes. In the Tella editor, tell the Tella Agent a preference, like "always use my brand color for text" or "I prefer jump cuts over transitions". It saves it to memory, for you alone or for your whole workspace, so you don't have to repeat it. For a multi-step style, like your caption look and layouts, ask the agent to save your finished edit as a skill, then run it on any video by typing / in the message box.

How to do it

  1. Open a video in the Tella editor and tell the Tella Agent the preferences you want it to keep.
  2. Click Add (+) → Memory to see what it saved, under About you or This workspace.
  3. Edit a video with the agent until it looks right, then ask it to "Save what you just did as a skill."
  4. Check the skill on the card and click Save skill.
  5. On your next video, type / in the message box and pick the skill.

Good to know

  • Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
  • To make the agent forget a preference, delete it in the Add (+) → Memory window.
  • A skill can include reference videos or images that show your style, up to 10 MB per file and 25 MB per skill.
  • Viewers and guests can run skills but not create them. A personal skill takes priority over a workspace skill with the same name.
